Review(s):
WOW!!! Brilliant just pure brilliant. That is if you like agratuitously violent depressing "prediction" of the future where machines rule to eradicate mankind. However if you put that to one side it's almost as depressing a situation as the credit crunch.
Perhaps if machines did rule they wouldn't put through dodgy expenses claims etc. But enough about that , the film is great escapism, set squarely after the last 3 terminator films & recent Terminator Sarah Connor chronicles. However prepare to have a little brain freeze if you aren't as used to time travel as some. Because John Connor (played by Christian Bale) is aware of potential future scenarios because... ahh if you don't know then you'll just have to rent the first 3 films on DVD.
The bottom line is if you like a good sci fi with plenty of action, then this is great, it's also a great follow on from the other terminator trilogy whilst at the same time introducing our old favourite the 'arnie' terminator (more confusing timeline stuff) Go see it, but perhaps not with the little ones. - Jeremy - Kosherpages

If like me the thought of “Terminator Salvation” makes you sigh and think, “Not another Terminator film,” then don’t be too hasty.
This film doesn’t rely on overdosing you with special effects, but has a good balance together with action and storyline.
Christian Bale delivers a sound performance as John Connor and you will see Helena Bonham Carter as you have never seen her before. Anton Yelchin, who plays John Connor’s young father (also seen recently as Chekov in Star Trek) has no problem drawing you in to his performance and Sam Worthington (Marcus) gives us a great show with events that unfold during the film.
I wouldn’t want to give you the impression that this film is the best in the series but it certainly tells a story that needs to be told to any original Terminator fans.
If you enjoyed the first two Terminator films then you will not leave disappointed. - Richard - Prestwich
